Fort Washington

Fort Sharks Swim & Dive Team

Fort Washington Sharks swim and dive team is part of the Colonial Swim League, participating in six dual swim meets throughout the summer season,  culminating in Champs meets and a swim banquet at the end of July.

*** Important 2026 Shark Registration Information***

Registration for the Fort Sharks Swim & Dive Team will open on April 1, 2026.

Before registering, please review the following minimum commitment level/expectations:

  • All Sharks must regularly attend practice.
  • All Sharks families must communicate with coaches on upcoming meet absences before the stipulated deadlines.
  • All Sharks must compete in at least three (3) dual meets.
  • All Shark families must fill at least three (3) meet volunteer positions throughout the season. *

*Every home swim meet requires about 75 volunteers, and every away meet requires about 45 volunteers. Unlike other clubs, we split most volunteer positions so that each volunteer only works for half the meet. We have six dual meets each year, plus invitationals and champs. It is essential that each Shark family volunteer for at least three regular season dual meets.

In addition, FORT will host two large multi-team meets this summer: The CJ Marin Relay Carnival (6/29/26) and CSL A-Champs (7/24/26). All Shark families will be expected to help with each of these meets in some capacity, regardless of whether or not they have a swimmer participating in that particular meet.

A Signup Genius will be emailed before each meet. Families who have not volunteered for any meets by the fourth dual meet will be assigned jobs in the final meets of the year.

For more information about the Fort Sharks, please review this Athlete & Parent Information.
